The decoration of scholar's article and Lucky Things are executed in strongly-colored enamels with iridescence around the blue and a transparent slip over the exposed black lines. The foot is cleanly cut in the off-white paste and there is a slight yellow toning underfoot; wood base. Height 8 5/8 inches (21.8 cm).
