Signed Dai Nihon Kantsu (no) ju Yunin Takenouchi [Takeuchi Chubei], circa 1880
The lower hemisphere is decorated with stylized butterfly and kiri sprays with formalized foliage on a black ground; the neck is decorated with hanamon on an olive ground below stylized bands at the mouth. Height 14 1/2 inches (36.8 cm).
