WHITE, ALICE; Approximately 650 photographic stills
Collection of approximately 650 still photographs, vintage prints or later copies, including many with studio identification of scene on verso, several with the photographer's stamp, mostly 14 x 10 inches or 10 x 8 inches, a few smaller. A few with signs of wear.
Alice White (1907-1983) won her popularity in "flapper" roles in more than a dozen silent films; she was a "boop-a-doop" girl. She played the "second lead" in a number of talkies but disliked the medium and retired in 1942.
