Comprising a pendant, earrings and stick pin fashioned from rare strawberry shells mounted with 14 kt. gold and emeralds, a stickpin with striated shell set at top with abalone and lapis, rimmed with 14 kt. gold, and a 14 kt. gold bar pin set with amethyst, each marked: Stix 14K.
Marguerite Stix was a sculptor and jewelry maker whose work was prominent in the 1960s and 1970s. Her jewelry, often incorporating rare shells with gold, precious and semiprecious stones, was sold at luxury New York stores. Her bronze sculptures were sold through Washington Irving Gallery.
