Cherry Silk and Velvet Ensemble Attributed to Paquin French, circa 1900

Comprising a silk taffeta trained open robe and blush silk velvet skirt, the robe with Renaissance style lace sleeves and aqua velvet low round collar, the bodice front, sleeves and skirt edges embellished with printed cotton broders, the skirt sewn with same borders and cutout floral bouquet appliques of similar fabric, flannel lining at both skirt hems, waist size of skirt 35 inches.
Alterations, probably enlarged, some re-configuring of open robe skirt, tears at train, some discolorations.
A similar garment with a Paquin label is in the Collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum.
