Givenchy Black Jeweled Evening Gown and Stole
French, mid 1980s
The velvet bodice encrusted at front and on sleeves with square beveled paillettes and faceted beads, the skirt satin, gathered at dropped waist, the voluminous aqua taffeta stole sewn with gathering midway on either side, covering the gown to the ground, size 10, labeled: Givenchy/Made In France.
Excellent condition, minor alteration at waist.
The dress is from the wardrobe of Manhattan socialite and philanthropist Mildred Hilson.
