French, late 1940s
Of black silk taffeta, bodice fitted, with V-neckline framed by large rounded collar split at shoulders, the sleeves long and tight, the shoulders padded, button and loop closures down front to waist, the skirt floor length and opened at front, lengthening into train at back, gathered into waist and around back to central en fourreau back panel, size 8, labeled: Molyneux.
