Informal Two-Piece Ensemble
French/Spanish, circa 1780
Comprising a caraco and full skirt pleated into waistband, each piece of similar but not identical striped floral silk with pink and green predominant, the caraco hip length, with wide neckline, ruched sleeves, each piece trimmed with mint green bands outlined with ruched pink silk edging.
Good condition, some fading to color on caraco, discolorations and some splits to silk in front of skirt.
Oral history attributes ownership to a native of Zaragossa, Spain.
