Wax reline. Frame rubbing. Dirty varnish. Scattered craquelure. 3inch "P"-shaped repaired tear in the center of painting, with 4 x 3 inch area of retouching. Stretcher marks visible.
Scattered inpainting throughout - old and more recent retouching - large area of glazing and retouching in the upper right and upper left areas (several inches); scattered spots along edges; between the legs of the horse, over some possible small tears/punctures; upper shoulder of horse, some spots in the face of the horse.
