Dirty varnish. Frame rubbing. Visible stretcher lines. Glue reline. Frame appears to be late 19th, early 20th century. Repair to old T-shaped tear at the center of painting - 3 x 4 inch tear. Scattered craquelure. Screening varnish prohibits me from detecting further restoration under uv light. Surface has been flattened from reline.
