THE JUNCTION OF THE SACANDAGA AND HUDSON RIVERS and WEST POINT (DEAK 320.2, 320.16; KOKE 76, 94)
Two hand-colored aquatints, 1821-22 and 1825 respectively, first state of two, plates 2 and 16 of the Hudson River Portfolio, the first published by Henry I. Megarey and W. B. Gilley, New York and John Mill, Charleston, the second published by Henry I. Megarey, New York, pale lightstain, matstain, old paper tape along top sheet edge verso, stitch holes with some associated creasing, nicks and small tears at left sheet edge, handling creases, unobtrusive foxing and other discoloration (the second mainly outside the image), the first with two unobtrusive vertical soft creases through the sheet at left, two (printer's?) creases outside or just within the image at left, the second with a 3/8 inch tear at top left sheet edge, otherwise in good condition, with (full?) margins, framed together.
