PINNATED GROUS
Hand-colored engraving and aquatint, 1834, on J. Whatman, plate CLXXXVI from The Birds of America, laid on card, pale lightstain, matstain line, some darker staining at extreme sheet edges, minor foxing and soiling, a few small unobtrusive occlusions, a 1/8 x 1/16 inch loss at and just outside right platemark, a 1 3/8 inch diagonal tear (with some associated creasing) at bottom left sheet edge, otherwise in good condition, with small margins or trimmed on the platemark on three sides, top margin trimmed on or just within the platemark.
