North Shore Massachusetts, possibly Portsmouth, New Hampshire, early 19th century
The superstructure of a tambour compartment and two drawers above the cylinder enclosing a pull out adjustable writing surface with covered compartments, the case with three long graduated drawers over an apron with central ellipse inlaid panel, all on splayed bracket feet. Height 53 1/4 inchs, width 48 inches, depth 25 1/2 inches.
