Additional Notes & Condition Report

Provenance:
The edition of 400 was created as thank-you gifts intended for those who lent works to the 1958 Brussels World Art Fair.
This piece was first given as a gift to the Curator of the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 1958, in gratitude for having lent to the Fair the Museum's 1634 painting "Triumph of Neptune and Amphitrite" by Nicolas Poussin. The piece was passed down to the present owner, then the assistant curator of the museum, by the curator.
