Frame rubbing. Dirty varnish. Scattered craquelure. Wear along edges and in corners. Slight warp to board. Scattered inpainting along the frame rubbing. Several spots of inpainting in the lower left corner. There does not appear to be inpainting within the painting. Few small spots in the sky where the paint is blistering.
The artist was painting in Jamaica in 1866. This is possibly a view in Jamaica or another Caribbean island.
