Group of Ten Japanese Netsuke
Meiji Period, 19th and 20th centuries
Comprising seven ivory, including oni breaking out of a shell, Chinese immortal with a beach branch and fan, Daruma seated on a water buffalo, shoki and an oni, Daruma standing, signed Masa Tomo, boy with a carp, and a seated girl with flowers; and three boxwood including a mouse, string of monkeys, and Daruma, signed Giokko. Length of largest 2 1/2 inches.
