George III Mahogany Secretary Bookcase
Late 18th century
In two parts, the upper section with a rectangular molded cornice above a conforming case enclosing two mullion glazed panel doors, resting on the lower section fitted with a secretary drawer opening to reveal pigeonholes and small drawers, over three full graduated cock-beaded drawers, raised on bracket feet. Height 7 feet 3 1/2 inches (2.22 m), width 42 1/2 inches (1.08 m), depth 21 inches (53 cm).
