Frame rubbing. Scattered cracquelure, with paint flaking, particularly along the right center extending 6 inches toward the center and into the child's crib. Canvas is slightly buckled at the upper left corner. There appears to be another signature at the lower left (J van...) that is now smudged and slightly overpainted. This signature does pop up under UV light and the signature at right flouresces. Masking varnish makes it difficult to detect further restoration. 1/4 inch paint loss along lower center edge.
