Portrait of Girl: Glue relined. Heavy craquelure throughout. Very dirty varnish; surface grime throughout. Streaky inpaint at upper right and in lower area of oval. Frame rubbing and inpaint surrounding painted cartouche. 1/8" loss at right center edge, and pinhole-size loss to left of neck.

Portrait of Boy: Glue relined. Heavy craquelure throughout. Dirty varnish . Difficult to detect older restoration under heavy varnish. Two 1/8" repaired losses, one in upper right quadrant and one to right of his left shoulder. One 1 1/2" area of repair below left shouler. Two 1" circular areas of older and more recent inpaint at left center. Two tiny spots of inpaint at lower right.

Third portrait, American School: Appears to be oil on canvas, but also includes some photomechanical process. Glue relined. Isolated spots of inpaint in upper part of forehead, hair. Dirty varnish and surface grime. Two vertical scratches, one 6 1/2" and on 3 1/2" in length, at left center. Several drips of unidentified residue throughout, possibly house paint. 1/4" areas of loss at right edge, upper left edge, and lower left edge. 2 1/2" scratch at lower left edge.
