Each of double-gourd form, one decorated on the body and neck with mounted hunters in pursuit of deer below a stylized tulip border below the rim, the other painted with a scholar and attendants in a landscape below the neck painted with a boy and buffalo and a stylized tulip band below the rim. Height 13 inches.

these vases are from the Gordon Morrill Collection. Both have vertical luting lines on body, one is more visible than the other. One has two small rim glaze chips, small chip to glaze where glaze meets foot, the same vase has small glaze chip to one side at luting line 1/8" dia. with 1/3" glaze crack extending from chip, one has small iron spot adhesion to shoulder
