Three Japanese Kozuka
19th Century
One of sintoku bronze, ishime background designed with a dragonfly and a gourd on a leafy vine, taka-bori gold, shakudo and copper; one worked in shibuichi and ji-migaki, depicting a wise man with two attendants with books and a musical instrument within a bamboo grove, kata-kiri and usu-niki-bori with gold zogan, signed Akaki shigen made in the 68th years of his life; and one silver, with a riverboat in taka-bori of gold, copper and silver, the waves engraved, raised rim. Lengths 3 3/4 inches.
