Three Japanese Fuchi-Kashira
19th Century
One of shakudo, nanako with crests on both pieces in stylized mountain form in taka-bori of gold; the other shibuichi, ishime, with blossoming plants with large leaves and a butterfly in taka-bori of gold, copper and usu-niku-bori; the third shakudo, ji-migaki, both pieces inlaid in Kaga style with a begonia in bloom worked in gold inlay and copper red, signed Josai. Lengths 1 1/2 inches.
