Two Japanese Fuchi-Kashira
19th Century
One of shakudo and nanako, both pieces worked with a blossoming peony in taka-bori of shakudo, the buds touched with silver, the leaves with copper, signed Ryu Ryu; the other iron, both pieces with large blossoming chrysanthemums in usu-niki-bori with gold centers; Together with a Kashira. In shakudo and ishime, with an open chrysanthemum and bud with tall grasses and a dragonfly in taka-bori of gold, shibuichi and copper and a fuchi in shakudo, gold and copper with a tree trunk and leaves. Lengths 1 1/2 inches.
