Late Tang, early Song Dynasty, 9th-11th century
Seated in dhaynasana on a lotus base, the left hand raised holding a lotus or cintamani wearing draped robes and scarves open at the chest exposing jewelry, the face with a serene expression beneath hair gathered up behind a simple crown. Height 9 1/2 inches.
