Chinese Archaic Bronze Ritual Wine Vessel, Fanghu
Of squared section, cast crisply on all four sides with a central dragon flanked by interlocking dragons and birds to either side in mirror form, the minor sides with the same design and interrupted by loop handles with a bovine mask crowned with confronting birds, the loose rings with a scrolling design, all above a band of leopards, plain foot rim, areas of green patination. Height 15 1/4 inches.
