Frame rubbing. Lined. Visible stretcher marks, particularly along the upper edge. Canvas is slightly buckled.
There is a 2'' L-shaped tear in the man's right arm, beginning at his shoulder and extending downward. A 1 1/2'' square area of repair in the man's forehead. Scattered cracquelure with corresponding inpainting. 1/8'' loss 3'' above the lower center edge.
