Additional Notes & Condition Report
Frame rubbing, with particular wear at the upper right and left corners. Surface is rather abraded. Scattered cracquelure, most pronounced in the man's face and along the lower right and left edges. Visible stretcher marks.
Thick masking varnish makes detection of restoration difficult to detect under UV light though there does appear to be a small area at the lower right, roughly 2'' in diameter. Numbered 30.378 on the back of the canvas and stretcher in red paint.
