18th century or 19th century. Frame rubbing. Quite dirty, could use a light clean. Large area of inpainting on the dense shadowy area of the red hat worn by the money lender at left. Small area of repaint the same man's chin. Several other areas of repaint visible but none in significant areas. Dense varnish layer difficult to read.
