Frame rubbing. Small areas of loss at left edge, 2 1/2" from top, concealed by frame. Areas of inpaint scattered throughout sails and extensively through sky: most significantly at left above white caps; and in section approximately 6" long, 2 1/2" from top and left edges of canvas; to left of blue flag; at upper right corner; and in section approximately 5" long, approximately 7" from top right edge. Cardboard backing of panel to which canvas is adhered is beginning to lift.
