Edges of canvas worn from frame rubbing. Visible stretcher marks. Old area of repair about 1/2 inch square at upper right, 1 inch from top and 2 1/2 inches from right. Old repair to right of figure, with 2 x 1 inch patch on the reverse, 6 inches from right edge, 8 inches from bottom. Profile of subject has been strengthened with inpaint, as has shadow of brim of bonnet and draperies of skirt. Scattered inpaint in background to left and right of figure to fill craquelure.
