Modeled in a perched position, in cobalt, amber, brown and white, with a black beak and talons. Height 12 1/2 inches.

the black beak appears to be overpainted and consequently has possibly been overpainted; one set of talons has similar overpainting, also indicating possible restoration; otherwise, appears to be in good condition; not blacklighted

there is a raised signature on the underside: Emile Galle Nancy with a shield device containing a central double cross flaked by the letters "E" and "G."

there is also a paper retail label affixed to the underside from Leo Kaplan Ltd, NYC, which reads "Guaranteed Genuine."
