GROUP OF TWO LEATHERBOUND SETS. 12 volumes in all, consisting of John Milton, Poetical Works, 6 volumes. London, Macrone, 1835; also Allan Cunningham, The Lives of the most Eminent British Painters, Sculptors, and Architects, 6 volumes. London, John Murray, 1829. The first set bound in three-quarters green morocco by Wood, spines gilt, green cloth sides; the second in full brown calf of the period, spines gilt. 7 inches (17 cm), the Milton, 6 inches (15 cm), the Cunningham; both with top edges gilt. Some minor wear and rubbing, the spines of the Milton toned to brown.
