Victorian Gilt-Bronze Mounted Rosewood Tea Caddy
Third quarter of the 19th century
Of tapering rectangular form, with a hinged lid centering a scrolling handle, opening to reveal an interior with two lidded compartments, the whole decorated with scrolling leafage, Gothic tracery and crown decoration, on a pierced vaulted base. Height 6 inches (15 cm), width 9 inches (23 cm), depth 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm).
