This is a view of the Huis ten Bosch in The Hague, one of the official residences of the Dutch royal family. Begun in 1625, it became the home of the Stadhouder of Holland, Prince Frederick Henry of Orange, and his wife, Amalia von Solms. Through the following centuries, it has been the home of most of the rulers of the Netherlands; today it is the principal residence of Queen Beatrix.

Horizontal split in the panel, extending from the lower left edge to the lower right edge. Light surface dirt. Frame rubbing. Minor paint loss along the area where the panel is split as well as along the bottom edge. Scattered spots of inpainting, particularly in the sky at upper right quadrant.
