Frame rubbing. Lined; surface is quite flattened. Scattered craquelure. Minor areas of inpainting filling in the cracks, possible strengthening in her hat as well as the outlines around her waist. There is a 2'' horizontal area of restoration just above her hemline, possibly a repaired tear.
On the stretcher, there is a remnant of a label reading, "Fine Art Repository/John H. Paris/Carver and Gildern..."
