S. Kirk & Son Sterling Silver Covered Butter Dish and Undertray
Third quarter of the 19th century
Of squat pyriform, with a domed cover surmounted by a blossom finial, decorated with repousse foliate motifs against a stippled ground. Height 5 1/2 inches, total approximately 25 ounces.

There is a liner on interior tray, which has no marks.
The dome cover is not marked and has a reserve with a monogram.
Each of the four pieces appears to be in good condition; some scratching to under areas appropriate to age and usage.
