. New York: Jonathan Cape & Harrison Smith, [1931]. Signed by William Faulkner, this limited edition is copy 237 of 299. Beige cloth sides, brick red cloth spine. 8 1/4 inches (21 cm); 6 ff., 358 pp., top edge silvered, partially unopened copy. The spine is rather sunned, with slight overall toning to boards. The book was issued in a tissue jacket, but this is lacking, as usual; no slipcase was ever issued.
The limited edition likely precedes the first trade edition.
