. New York: G. P. Putnam, 1855. Three volumes, extra-illustrated to ten, three-quarters green morocco. 9 1/2 inches (24 cm); volumes variously paginated. Spines faded to tan, some light wear and scuffing.
There is, in addition to the publisher's title, a set of custom-printed titles. The final volume has a manuscript memorandum of the added plates (well in excess of 1000), and indicates a completion date of 1885.
