George III Rosewood Banded Mahogany Bureau Bookcase
In two parts, the upper section with a pair of glazed and mullioned doors opening to shelves, above a lower section with a deep drawer with a hinged front opening to reveal an interior fitted for writing, over a pair of cupboard doors enclosing shelves, raised on splayed bracket feet. Height 8 feet 10 inches (2.39 m), width 48 1/2 inches (1.23 m), depth 21 1/2 inches (54.6 cm).

Patches and losses to veneers of mullion doors.
Some glass panels replaced.
Back upholstered.
Center cupboard door to interior has hidden compartments.
Leather worn and stained.
Keys present.
Age cracks to front panels of lower section with slight bowing.
Vertical age cracks to side panels of lower section with some fine shims.
Some old repairs to feet.
Old marks, scratches, scuffs, wear, and patches to veneer.
