14 kt., the gold frame embellished by a stylized serpent motif highlighted by engraved scales and demantoid garnet eyes, accented by 5 round and oval cabochon rubies, spaced by 6 old European-cut diamonds approximately 1.20 cts., with an oval cabochon ruby thumbpiece, the mesh purse suspending 5 gold-capped freshwater pearl drops, completed by an oval gold link carrying chain, circa 1900, approximately 100 dwt. 5 1/8 x 4 3/8 inches.
