Glue relined. Main canvas lifting from the reline canvas along the lower edge, where ther are some paint losses along the lower edge.Visible stretcher marks. Forceful relining has pressed some tiny flecks of the ground through the upper paint surface in some areas. The dense varnish layer shows nothing under UV light. Some scrapes and scuffs to the surface, including a short gouge in the sitter's cloak just above and sightly to the left of the his left hand.
