Composed of 9 fluted carved pink tourmaline beads approximately 20.0 to 12.0 mm., flanked by diamond-set platinum rondels, spaced by black onyx tubular links flanked by 21 pearls, the center bead edged by a diamond-set platinum panel, suspending a line of 2 fluted pink tourmaline beads approximately 27.5 to 14.0 mm., flanked by diamond rondels spaced by black onyx bar links and 2 pearls, further suspending a shield-shaped carved pink tourmaline pendant approximately 32.0 x 28.3 x 8.4 mm., completed by a diamond-set hinged buckle clasp, numbers 311, slightly obscured, circa 1920, pendant detachable. Length 15 3/4 inches. With signed Cartier leather case.

Carved pink tourmalines: beads on necklace medium light to medium to deep purplish-pink, transparent, beads on pendant deep purplish-pink, transparent, some inclusions visible, pendant is bright deep pink with minor purple hue, cleanish, transparent, lively.

Pearls: whitish to slightly creamy, good luster.

Good condition. Lovely hinged diamond clasp.

Length of detachable pendant 5 1/5".
