German Specialized Collection
A very thick album of approximately two hundred fifty pages containing many thousands of stamps covering the period from about 1905 to 1936. This wonderful old time collection contains two major areas of interest to the specialist, postmarks and booklet panes. The postmarks cover a wide range including commemorative, pictorial, town and air port markings while the booklet panes is in most part exploded booklets and varieties often associated, such as tete-beche and gutter pairs, etc. There are also numerous color shades which are carefully annotated, multiples and a nice selection of covers. A small number of stamps have been removed at an earlier time, but many better items remain. The entire collection is beautifully mounted and extensively described in German throughout. A rare opportunity to acquire a very specialized group and careful inspection is essential to arrive at this lots true value.
