Original turquoise cloth with design and lettering in dark blue, in the original pictorial jacket. 11 1/8 x 8 1/2 inches (28.5 x 21.5 cm); 208 pp., with 97 plates after Abbot's photographs. Minimal age-toning to cloth, which is generally bright, the jacket with minor chips and several tape reinforcements, internally generally a very clean copy; Together with TARRY, ELLEN and ETS, MARIE HALL. My Dog Rinty. New York: Viking, 1946. First edition. Original cloth in dust jacket. 9 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches (24 x 19.5 cm); unpaginated, with superb photographs of Harlem life by Alexander and Alexandra Alland. Near fine. The first work is Hasselblad 130; Auer 276. The second, a children's book with superb photographs of African American family life by the remarkable Allands, seems unrecorded in the photographic literature.
