Early half calf, rebacked retaining spines. 9 5/8 x 7 1/2 inches (25 x 19 cm); 2 Frontispieces, 46 numbered plates (many folding) and 8 unnumbered plates. Some spotting and offsetting within, spines worn with Vol. I spine becoming detached.
Originally published in Madrid, the purpose of this voyage was to measure the longitude of Spanish Peru and contains interesting plates and descriptions of the Incas. Sabin 36812.
