Franklin Delano Roosevelt Monaco Stamp Collection
Presentation album from the Prince of Monaco to F.D.R. in elaborate leather and gilt edge box prepared by Cartier, with notation in gilt on the front. Containing Mint issues of Monaco from 1927 to 1939, including Scott 100-102, 128-30, 159, 176-81, 819-B50, C1 and a few Dues, most would appear to Mint Never Hinged but protective acetate has not been removed to retain the integrity of the collection. This was lot 231 from the H.R. Harmer New York auction held April 2, 1946 with the lot number pasted to the front of the box which shows some wear, the stamps seem to be in Very Fine Mint condition.
