Six volumes, in the publisher's binding of vellum spines, blue cloth sides. 10 7/8 x 8 inches (27.5 x 20.5 cm); illustrated throughout with color and black and white intaglio plates depicting Manhattan throughout its history. Very minor soiling to spines, overall a fresh, clean copy of this remarkable work.
Among the finest examples of American printing of the period, and the best work issued from the Gilliss Press.
