The collection was edited by Nathan d'Aubigné de LaFosse (Nathanis Albinei). Nathan d' Jean D'Espagnet was an alchemist and witchhunter; Sendivogius (Michal Sedziwój) a Polish medical doctor and alchemist, who discovered that air was not a single substance; and Augurelli a humanist scholar (and alchemist). All of these works appeared in earlier editions, and all but the first in the present editions have integral titles, and were also sold separately (and indeed occasionally appear at auction thus). Both the parts and the compilation are rare. c.f. Wellcome II, 25.
