. Montreal: Beauchemin & Valois, 1878 & 1882. "A New Edition by a Missionary of the Oblates." Two volumes. The first volume in early leather backed boards (without wrappers), the second volume in original printed wrappers. 7 1/4 x 5 inches (18 x 13 cm); 301, 422 pp. The first volume rubbed with the upper hinge split and some ink ownership signatures, the second volume with creasing to wrappers and a small loss to the corner of the lower wrapper, old religious library stamps to title and elsewhere; Together with a large lithographed portrait of Baraga printed on tissue on a printed mount, after Kriebhuben, 20 1/4 x 15 inches (52 x 38 cm). Slight foxing to mount.
