, 1880s, mostly hand-colored as issued, housed in corner mounts integral to the album. Most 7 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches (195 x 24 mm), unmounted, some with titles in the images, many with pencil notes on subjects on the mounts. One image torn, a few with minor defects, but generally fine albums with good tones.
Includes fine views of Nagasaki, Yokohama, and Kobe, as well as specific sites such as the Graves of the Forty-seven Ronin at Sengaku-ji, the bridge at Kamakura, the Shogun's Tomb in Shiba Park, Tokyo, etc.
